Mark your calendar for a few important dates, based on the Secretary of State's 2008 Ohio Election Calendar.

Fall 2008 - OCSEA Labor Walks, Phone Banks, and more..

Sept. 30, 2008 - General election absentee ballots must be ready (35 days before the election).

Oct. 6, 2008 - Deadline to register for the Nov. 4, 2008, General Election (30 days before the election).

Nov. 1, 2008 - Applications by mail for absent voter ballots must be received by boards of elections by noon (three days before election).

Nov. 3, 2008 - Absentee ballots may be voted in person at boards of elections until the close of their business hours (day before general election)

Nov. 4, 2008 - General Election; Polls open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
